这美妙的傍晚，沉静又惬意
The holy time is quiet as a Nun
那神圣时刻一片沉寂
Breathless with adoration;the broad sun
宛若屏息膜拜的修女
Is sinking down in its tranquility
恢弘的太阳西沉于宁谧里
The gentleness of heaven broods o'er the Sea:
天堂的柔和笼罩着海面
Listen! The mighty Being is awake
听啊！那全能的生命正苏醒
And doth with his eternal motion make
将他那永恒动力开启
A sound like thunder-everlastingly
那咆哮若雷霆，声声永不停息
Dear Child! dear Girl! that walkest with me here
亲爱的儿女啊，与我同行此地
It thou appear untouched by solemn thought
假如你们不为这庄重思想所动
Thy nature is not therefore less divine
也未减损那神赐于你们的天性
Thou liest in Abraham's bosom all the year
你们常年躺在亚伯拉罕的怀抱里
And worship'st at the Temple's inner shrine
在神庙的内厅顶礼告祈
God being with thee when we know it not
神与我们同在，尽管我们不曾留意
